Character model created for my thesis film, Bloom. Design was based on a combination of construction vehicles, contemporary industrial equipment and various robot designs from popular culture. Modeled in Maya, textured in Substance Painter and rendered with Arnold.

I created this character with animation in mind. The torso and shoulders are set up to behave like a piston, expanding and compressing with each footstep. I included many separate panels and components that should rattle with each footstep when animated to make the character feel heavy.
